December 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until January 8, 2022
The TWW workshops are free and open to the public. Writers of all genres and anyone who appreciates the written word are welcome. Work is submitted a week prior to workshop (Tuesday), and a workshop notice is emailed (Thursday/Friday). The pieces to be critiqued can then be dowloaded and read. We critique a maximum of fifty total pages per workshop.
At the beginning of each workshop, the group spends some time discussing “Trials and Tribs.” This provides the opportunity for attendees to talk about their work in progress, any recent challenges, or accomplishments. Upcoming writing events, conferences, contests, and other opportunities for writers are announced at the end of Trials and Tribs.
Workshop pieces are then critiqued one at a time, and during this period the author remain silent. Time is spent discussing positive aspects of the work, followed by suggestions on things the author might consider to strengthen their piece. When the critique ends, the author has the opportunity to make comments and ask the group any questions. This is a supportive workshop that provides constructive criticism for writers of all levels.
